I've already posted a question about this in the DAT forum, but I don't think it's getting much attention. There's prob a few more people in the pre-dent who are re-applying for 2006 than over there anyhow. If I already have an "alright" score on my DAT, but want to improve certain sections for 2006, what is the latest I should schedual the re-test? I've heard stories of peeps getting rejection letters before second test scores come out as early as July and August... just wondering if this is a common thing.

Thanks,
Deebog

I took my DAT in July and if I could re-do it I would have taken it EARLIER...

Yeah, I would take it in june if you can. If fact, I would take it on May 15th. that way you can get everything in and be the first to apply this year!! If you are disciplined, you should be able to improve your score quite a bit before then.

The most important thing is that you are ready to take it again. If you take it too soon because you want to get it to them soon and you mess up than it really doesn't matter. If you score low let the school know you are going to retake it on a certain date and they will hold your application. If you wait until December to take it though you are screwing yourself out of a spot so latest possible I would say is October at the very latest.
