Resume or CV

Is it worth it to turn my resume into a CV before submitting to schools that ask for it? Most of my experience other than the clinical work and research work I have done for this application is professional work.

I am curious though if faculty are gonna be confused by a resume, or if there is some other advantage to re-writing everything in CV style.... and if so... can anyone recommend a good resource for CV writing?
