I'm currently taking Chem 2 and I got off to a bad start. I can already tell I'm heading for a C in this class... If I bust my a** I may be able to get a B, but I'm afraid if I chance it I may end up with a C. I am better off dropping it and shooting for the A next semester, or shooting for a B(maybe) this semester? I had quite a few drops in my undergrad, so I'm trying to keep my drops to a min. Basically, what looks worse? Dropping a course or getting a C?

So your two choices are...

1) keep slacking off only to drop it and have another W on your transcript

or

2) work harder and get a B.

Seems pretty clear cut to me.

I think a drop looks as a bad as a c or even a little worse. Most people drop a class bc they r failing it so i feel if u have a w on ur trasncript the admissions people will assume u were doing terrible.

Just try hard and get a b. Chem 2 isn't really that difficult. Just study a little more

Bust your ass and get a B.

There's no room for a Pharmacist who is just looking for the easy way out. If you want the easy way out, truck driving school is always looking for a few good men.

And it won't be the first time you're in this position.

I don't want to make it seem like I'm looking for an easy way out... I still have to take the class no matter what. Just trying to put myself in the best position in the long run. Of course I'm going to still try to pull out the B, and if I end up with a C I guess I'll just have to suck it up and move on. Thanks for the input.

My guess is this is your second semester in college. You have a lot of time to make up from one poor grade. Your best bet is to just stick with it and learn from your mistakes. You'll be a better student in the long run.

hey man leave truck drivers alone

My vote is with everyone else. Finish it off with a B...

How are you already stuck with a B this early?

When I took biochem I got a 60 on the first test but got an A. It was a lot of work of course. Just seems pretty early in the semester to already be stuck with a B

If he's on a quarter system, his quarter might almost be over. I believe it's ~week 7 or 8 and quarter systems have ~11 weeks/quarter

That would be rough. Some of my friends are on trimesters and their teachers move fast
