I just took the dat today and got the following:

PAT 17
QR 20
RC 17
Bio 19
GC 23
OC 20
TS 20
AA 20

I have 3.1 gpa, that's why i'm a little worried. Will it be too late if retake the exam in november but still be able to get in this year (i e-submitted my app in july).

thanks so much!

I think the best plan of attack would be to apply with the scores you have now and put down that you plan on re-taking the DAT. If you get interviews you can ask if you still need to re-take the DAT to have fair shot at thier school. Best case scenerio is that they tell you your fine and don't need to re-take the DAT. Worst case is that they tell you to go ahead and re-take it like you planned. Seriously I would think tha your going to be fine with those scores, but then again I'm not sitting on the admissions committee. If your serious about getting in this year just make sure that you apply to a good range of schools to give yourself the best chance. Best of luck!

What is your science GPA? If your science is above a 3.0 you should still have a pretty good chance of getting accepted! Your DAT score is great by the way!

I noticed you are from CA...if you are going to apply to UOP, I would consider retaking it to raise your PAT score to 20 or above...UOP prefers all sections to be 20 and above, especially PAT.

Yeah, i actually applied to A LOT of schools already....

guys guys guys....
does anyone here know "If it's ok to retake it as long as he retakes before December 31?"

I bump this thread becuz I also want to know about this.
I am taking organic chemistry when I am junior so my plan is to take DAT as soon as I finish my Junior year. If i want to increase my chance into Maximum, i should take it 3 times so then I also wanna know when is the lastest date I can take it.

some people r getting interview sits already, so wouldn't it be too late if we retake it on December? wouldn't interview sits full by that time so our DAT on december becomes pointless?

it's rollign admissions, there will still be spots open in december, just not as many and the competition's more fierce for those remaining spots. I personally applied late december and I got in fine.

Why retake it, you will get in if you apply to enough schools. Probably not the school of your choice, if that is the case you better retake it, a 20 is really good, PAT means nothing except for a few precious schools.
