What would be better, retaking pre-calc that I got a C+ in my freshman year or adding on another 400 level micro class that I need for my major? Assuming that in either scenario I get an A.

I'd probably do the Senior level course, it stands out more on the transcript and you always run the risk of not doing as well in the retake, and a lot of colleges don't let you wipe one grade in replacement of another.
I'm going to tell you that pre-calculus is not a required course for med school. Retaking the class is not going to do a whole lot for you. Your AMCAS GPA won't change and it's going to be a pain in the ass with all the work you will have to do. (It's energy wasted). Was pre-calculus the only math class you took or what?
Not by much because the AMCAS grade calcuation will average the C and whatever you get the next time, assuming an A - A + C = B. I'd think the 400 level class with an A would be better, just my opinion though.
