Hello everyone,

My GRE scores didnt turn out as great as I had expected. Just wondering how bad you think it will hurt my odds.

I have a 3.89 in my science GPA.
Verbal:153 (57th percentile)
Quantatative: 148 (35th percentile)
Dont have the score for the written portion yet

Also, if I take it again will they re evaluate my application?

my gre scores were:
145 verbal
151 quantitative
3.5 writting

3.89 gpa
sports and quite a few extra curricular activities/honors
plus i felt that i wrote a pretty good essay

I applied to 4 schools and heard back from Belmont pretty quickly inviting me for an interview. In other words, i wouldnt stress over your GRE.
im still waiting to hear back from the other three schools (winston salem state, medical university of south carolina and elon) but these programs have said i might not hear back from them until dec. or jan. bc they dont have rolling addmission - so im happy and content with where im at and my gre scores. if all else fails, i will study and retake the GRE next year and try again!

Most schools I've seen have a minimum of 300 total and value the verbal and writing score way more than the quantitative, so I'd think you're ok.

You have a 3.89 GPA and your verbal GRE is good. You don't need to retake it. You will be accepted somewhere.

I agree with BrokeDancer. From what I have heard, most schools look at the verbal score more so than the quantitative. Check with the school you're interested in applying to see if they have a minimum requirement for the GRE score, it would also help to talk to an advisor to see where you stand. You have a good GPA, I think you should be fine. Best of luck

Thanks for the encouragement everyone. I got my written score:4.0

I was going to take it again now at the end of november but I think it will be worse if I take it and I end up doing worse then I did on the first one. So i think im gonna stick with these scores.

Best of luck to everyone !

There's a whole thread about Nova, check that out and you'll see who applied.
