I graduated with a Bachelors in Biology, minor in Chemistry, and I have a 2.23 GPA. I'm wondering if taking classes to get it up to a 2.5 with a high GRE score would be more worth it than retaking my entire undergraduate courseload over again (academic suicide) to get into a Masters program. I wasn't serious in my studies at school, making mostly B's and C's in everything and having a very horrible first year. The last two years were a lot better, but you can only bring up your gpa so much. Not that I have much of a thought on what I really want to do with my life, I went into Biology because that's what I liked and now I think healthcare is really where I belong.
Now it's between
1.) taking classes to get into nursing and using that to do infectious disease masters later on down the road,
2.) retaking my entire undergraduate coursework over again,
3.) or sticking it out, taking a few more classes to apply to an mph program in hopes that if I do alot better in my masters program I can move on from there later in life.
- What are post bachelors programs and where would getting a second bachelors from another university help in getting me where I want to go? Right now, I'm pretty sure I want to do disease research in foreign countries, which is where I found out, I need more schooling. And that's how I found out I don't JUST need what I have, but need to make it to a higher level. How do you propose I get there and just how screwed am I?
