Hey guys!
Some of you might remember my previous post, where i was not sure of what to do with my scores. Well...I'm still not so sure, however I'm seriously considering a retake sometime around October.
So just to remind you my scores were
PAT 20
QR 17
RC 16
BIO 21
GC 20
OC 20

As far as the retake works, I'm not sure whether or not I'm supposed to let the schools know that I'm planing to retake. They probably already got these scores anyway, and most likely won't care whether or not I plan to retake. So should I just take this damn thing again and then just sent them scores and let them do watever they want with it????
My thinking is that if they are OK with these scores then they'll give me an interview if not, than I will sent them my next scores, which I hope will be a bit better, and them hope for their attention.

Please guys, any advise would be helpfull, how would you go about doing this?

i think the only thing that might hurt you is the 16. If you have a good gpa, then i wouldn't worry about it. make sure you call the schools you're applying and find out if they have a cutoff.

I called Stony Brook and they told me that even if I retake they will not take a look at it second time, that is why I'm very concerned on how does the retake business works. Why wouldn't they look at it? Do all schools have this thing going on?

If you plan on retaking most schools will usually hold off their decision until they receive the most recent scores.

From your scores, it is average but that 16 in RC might hurt you. It's hard to say...

But that's only if they are informed about me taking it second time. What happens if I just take it and then send the second score. I have a feeling that they won't even look at it, but than I ask myself why not??? I don't want them to hold off my app. I might get in somewhere with these scores since I applied early. But on the other hand I do want to retake the test because i know I can do much better if I just try harder.
And how do you tell them that you want to take the test second time, call them up, AADSAS or they get informed when I actually register for the test?

Yea that's why it's hard to say what to do in your situation because maybe you can get somewhere with these scores. You're basically on the fence. I would go ahead and apply with these scores since your retake will be late October meaning you will end up in the late cycle. Unless you can pull off 21+ you will be at a disadvantage.

As for the retake notification, you can log into AADSAS for that I believe.

Thanks bennijai, i feel like i'm just going to stick with what i've got and pray for my GPA to get me out of this dilemma.

By the way I'm also from LI.
