I'm doing a master's/SMP type of thing at Umich this upcoming Fall. They pretty much have a designed class schedule for everyone. However, if we've taken a comparable class, we can substitute for it.

So, I took an Immuno class, but received a B- in it. Umich wants their students to retake a course if they score below a B, but since it was an upper level course, they can make an exception.

What would be more beneficial for me in terms of how an adcom may see it? Retake an undergrad course, but in a graduate setting, or to just take a new course?

Thanks for your time,

Your school might replace grades and recalculate your GPA, but AMCAS does not.

The AMCAS does not recalculate your grades. Whether you do or not is up to you. It is recommended that you do exceptionally in SMPs.
