How is retaking a class incorporated when viewing a GPA? Is it the most recent grade that counts, or is it an average of the two classes? Thanks!

It is averaged. But I took biology my freshman year an got a C+ both semesters. As a post-baccalaureate I received an A and a B. During my interviews at two schools I was complimented on my improvement.
