would it be more advisable to take upper division classes or retake the prereqs that I did poorly in? Additionally, as I was planning on taking upper division classes for the next 1 yr ( I will be applying in summer 2012), would it be alright if I retook the prereqs that I did poorly in during the summer of 2012 while im applying and update the schools? the reason why I want to do this is because i feel that I should have a good enough grasp to do well in the upper division bio classes/alot of the upper division bio classes are easier at my school than the intro bio classes...

also will adcoms find it weird that i am sending in updates of classes that I am retaking? I want to retake these lower level classes to prove to them that i was able to redeem myself.

your help and thoughts would be appreciated!

What is considered poor?

Also, at my school you cannot retake unless you failed the course. Check that out if it applies at your school

mostly C/C+ grades to be exact....my school allows to retake any grades that were below a B-.....your thoughts would be appreciated.....

If it's a C or higher, I would do upper division.

Combined with a good MCAT score, it would show that you can handle the prereq material.
