If I retake a college class to get a higher grade, will medical schools be able to see that I retook it? Or will it be as though I got that grade the first time around?

DO schools will count it as a replacement and only the retake will count towards GPA

MD schools will see both and factor both into GPA

Generally not worth retaking a class for MD unless it's below a C-

DO schools will see both grades. One will be counted for calculations. There is a distinction to be made.

For MD schools there are schools that wont accept C- pre-reqs for sure. So I would probably put Wedge's rule for a C or higher in many cases as not worth retaking.
