What grade warrants retaking a class? I heard that getting under a C+ in a core pre-med class warrants retaking it, but is there merit to this "rule"?

Under a C+ in a prerequisite should be retaken if you have the credits available. If you get between a C+ and a B then I would recommend taking an additional/similar upper division course (and doing well) to show proficiency.
