Retaking MCAT after Primaries are in?

hi, I already submitted my primary application. I am thinking of retaking the mcat in September. My question is, will schools that may have screened me out in August, re-look at me in October when my next mcat score comes out? (Assuming I do better, I’m trying to increase my mcat to better my chance of some specific schools who are “reaches” right now)

Maybe. You will have to do significantly better on the test though

Would I have to contact the schools and ask them to relook at me? Or will the automatically do so when my mcat is recieved?

Once you're screened out, you need to send the schools an update.

I would not add anymore schools till you get satisfied MCAT score. Just get verified your app with one throw away school..
How's your GPA? Maybe you don't need to re-take MCAT?

3.73 cGPA, 3.58 sGPA....not the best. Solid ECs including research, volunteering. about 200 clinical volunteering hours and 100 shadowing

You should be ok with some schools with that GPA and score. Dont retake unless you feel you can increase your score by at least 5 points

MCAT retake not in order if your GPA is a 3.2+ along with solid EC's and a DO letter
