I am retaking the MCAT in mid July. My question is should I wait until my scores come in to submit my secondaries (which will be in mid August) or should I submit my secondaries early? My first MCAT score is PS 10 V 7 BS 10 Writing Sample M. My grade point average is a 3.81. I have a double major in chemistry and biology and I am getting a ms in biomedical sciences. I have good research background and clinical experience. Do schools review applications in early August? I am a re applicant and I know one of the reasons why I only got one interview was because I submitted my secondaries in Oct & Nov and I have a low MCAT score. I am really studying harder this time and aiming for 32 or higher on this MCAT. I am just worried if I submit my secondaries in mid August that might be to late.

From my experience, the schools you applied to will not look at your app until your new MCAT scores are reported to them (I assume your AMCAS says you are planning to take another MCAT mid-July). If the 27 didn't get you an invite last time, it won't this time. Submit your secondaries now or sometime this month, that way when your scores become available, your file will be complete (from your end) at all the schools. August is not too late for some schools. Can't hurt to contact some of the schools you are really interested in and explain the late MCAT.
