Hey guys I just got my MCAT scores back. I got a 16 O. I know terrible, I've already been to 2 interviews. Anyways I'm not really sure what the best options are. I really want nothing more than to get in this year. If I retook it and did a lot better in January would I still have a chance of getting in? Please let me know if you have any advice.

That's a pretty low score. Sending in your 16O to schools would do more harm than good. Definitely retake it in January 28. Registration opens this Thursday. It's certainly not too late to apply this cycle. You'll get scores back in beginning of March, and probably get an admission decision later that month if you already did your interviews. Aim for 25+.

Perfect thanks for the response. One other question. I just got my scores back today. Are the schools going to receive the scores soon or do I actually have to send the scores manually to them. How does that work?

I believe you have to release the scores to the aacpm application system. But if you have already submitted your application, I'm not so sure if there are different measures that need to be taken.
