Reusing secondary essays

I have seen a lot of threads about reusing the same essay between secondaries between 2 schools for a similar question, but I am referring to a reapplicant here. If the school you applied to last year has the same secondary prompts as before, is it okay to answer with the same essay/response?

I think its understood you should definitely change your personal statement as a reapplicant to talk about your development, but will a reuse of an answer hurt your chances on secondaries? You are simply answering the prompt and if you views are still the same, then it is okay to answer the same. Obviously update questions such as what have you been doing since last being a student and the such.

I would update the essays as well. I believe I read on here an adcom like @Goro said you need to update the essays as well. It is going to suck but you don't want to come off as lazy. You can keep the same theme or message of your essays but reword them to show a different app.
