just curious, as i'm writing a withdraw letter....
has anyone every had to or heard of anyone having to try and take back a withdraw and get accepted back into the school? i'm wondering if schools allows that and if they give you a hard time for it...

or has anyone heard of schools going into their rejection list to fill their class?

the latter case you mentioned happened last year. it was a school in florida, perhaps USF?

Actually, as I understand it, it was UF.

I just talked to someone here who I think managed to undo a withdrawal. It depends on the school. It's not an irreversible, unstoppable process once you drop your letter in the mail--if you call the school and can adequately explain yourself, you might be able to fix it. I would not bank on being able to take it back, though. Better to be sure first.

Yup. Not USF.. UF was the culprit!

You are kidding! Did they go to post interview rejections or pre interview rejections? And I thought this process couldn't get any worse...

anyone else know of any withdrawal reverses?

KBCoch withdrew from Pitt to go to Case. After she changed her mind, she called Pitt's dean and he let her back in. This just happened a week or two ago.
