True. Like Stephen King said, the Phillies were very popular until they won the world series, then they were just another team. Although I don't think that Boston's fan base will diminish over night if they win, but some of the fire to root for Boston will be gone.

But seriously, how is the pitching staff going to survive Boston's lineup? Will Matheny ever hit again? Will Edmonds ever stop showboating? All things to consider.


I guess the next mark of futility that will fall next year is the Cubs, hey if the Red Sox can do it, so can they.

This is a circumstantial evidence that Boston will be the hot-bed for sponsors in the coming months. I think this is going to be the best sports story of the year, and what a way to end it... a record come-back with Yankees, and a clean sweep in the World Series... Definetly one for the history books.

Maybe it had something to do with the lunar-eclipse! 😀

Update to above post which originated the morning after the Sox finished off the Yankees:

NYU D1's no longer need to worry. BU admin came in drunk as skunks this AM and were so happy that they passed a resolution which will offer tution free open admission to all D1's dumped by NYU this academic year.
