Hello everyone,

Last year I applied to MD programs and was rejected by all but 2. Of these two, one of them have given me no feedback while the other has extended an interview but has provided no admissions decision.

In the meantime, I am preparing to reapply to medical schools, but have been feeling extremely lost with regards to the PS. I understand that there is a need to incorporate how you have grown since previously applying, but I really don't know how. How have you all approached rewriting your PS when reapplying?

Thank you so much for your advice!

There is not an inherent need to incorporate growth in ways that say "Since last cycle, I did xyz...". Instead, you can show growth more indirectly by discussing new experiences and how they have been incorporated into your decision to pursue medicine. You can also pivot your narrative with these new experiences to discuss something entirely different. I personally rewrote my entire PS this cycle into one that fits my overall narrative arc better, which is what I attribute my success to this cycle.
