I'm expanding my geography and starting to do some RF cases in a small hospital that is not equipped with an RF generator, probes etc. I am planning to rent my generator to the hospital on a case by case fee. Any suggestions on how much to charge. Any other thoughts on this set up? Thanks

Ask the manufacturer the expected lifetime number of sessions for the machine and probes. For the probes at least they should be able to give you a number. If they can’t for the machine take your average number of yearly RF cases multiplied by 3-5 years, whatever you depreciate it over. Then divide the cost of equipment by expected lifetime cases, with a markup for your risk of transporting the product and for the convenience of a rental for them. Also if you are bringing the needles, a reasonable markup on those for the admin time you or your staff spend ordering.

Thank you for your help. Yes the hospital will be charging facility fees. I usually do these in my office so my reimbursement will cut accordingly. Ducttape are you suggesting to charge 60% of the facility fee for the rental and supply of the needles etc.?

no... I'm suggesting you find out what the facility fees are and see if 60% of that fee aligns with the cost to rent your equipment...
