Just curious as to whether we will have to qualify with a rifle/handgun while in service. And if so what model guns are used for qualification. Any info would be helpful, thanks.

I'm not Air Force - however I can assure you that none of the three you mentioned would be used.

The standard issue firearms remain the M16A2/A4 rifles and the M9 (Beretta 92FS) pistol. I have seen the M4 used for qualifications in lieu of the M16A2/A4. A few select AF units use the M11 (Sig P228) instead of the M9. For your purposes, however, you should probably be thinking M16A2 and M9.

ARMY- I fired M4, M9, & M16 for my qual during OBLC.

I qualified on M9 and M16A2 in basic. At my unit we used M4s instead of the M16 because that was what we were issued. I think most people in the AF (who don't ever use guns for their AFSC) will be required to qualify upon entering the service and after that only in the event you deploy.
