My friend is wondering if she has what it takes to get through the rigors of med school course work. No matter how I reassure, she's still freaking out. I've always thought that the particulars you end up having to memorize are made clear to you when you're in the curriculum itself with its inherant pressures. Otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels looking at everything that *might* show up.
So against my best personal judgement, I saw someone selling "MS1 Medical School Biochem" on eBay like an hour ago--and I told her about it. She was really thrilled--since she thinks it's a good idea to pre-read everything she can get her hands on before med school starts. I told her that I really don't know if it'll make much of a difference at all (for the hundreth time).
So I wonder what others think--do you believe practicing for courses in the fall is where it's at, or do you believe in my advice--"just have as much fun as you can while you can--there'll be plenty of studying up ahead"?
Thanks
