I enjoy being a physician. I don't miss the bedside nursing. If you have the opportunity to go med school then go for it.

hey Kirk
do you think that the fact you were an RN leaned you more towards the DO instead of MD?? I am graduating in may with my BSN and am also applying to med school. I have been seriously considering osteopathic medical school.

Kirk, I absolutely agree with you. I went for the opportunity and wrote my MCATs two years ago and I fortunately matriculated into medschool this past summer and I just received the results of my first med school exam....I PASSED...and I have to say that having been a RN has helped me tremendously; but coupled with my allopathic education ..I look forward to seeing my first patient and I know I will make a definate difference !
