can this be done? i know that i would have to back track and take some of the pre-reqs for PA school, but has anyone seen this done before?

just curious as this is my interest.

thanks

RN is a great background for pa. lots of folks do it. also consider the dual pa/np program at uc davis for bsn prepared nurses. 2 yrs, both certs.

What would be the advantage of both the PA/NP certs?

NP's have more autonomy to practice without supervision in some states. NP's are preferred in some settings.

PA's are by far better trained in surgical and acute care specialties. PA's are preferred in some settings.

Having the NP title with the PA training can't be beat.

Thanks for responding. I am VERY excited to hear this. Glad to know this can be accomplished 😀 👍
