I've always been tempted to ask you Winged if you knew him since he's a breast guy too (...well who isn't...:laugh:)

But I second it, he is a great chairman and feels VERY strongly about residents having a life outside of surgery including family. This is absolutely the biggest perk of the program IMHO. As far as Springfield....you'll get to learn about Lincoln....then you'll learn to be sick of it after 2 weeks. Housing is dirt cheap though for some good stuff.

Well, we're actually talking about two different people.

You are referring to the Chair of Surgery, I was talking about the Chair of GENERAL Surgery (each Division has its own Chair). I have met the Chair of Surgery but don't call him and brag about the weather here in AZ like I do with the Chair of GS. :laugh:

Actually, both of them wrote letters for me. Gen surg. chair is hilarious and was awesome about getting students involved in the OR.
