Hey!

I started my first year of undergraduate studies at McGill University and like most people I'm trying to figure out how to plan the rest of my life.

I've been trying to find the answer to this question but haven't seemed to be able to find the right answer so here's my scenario:

I've lived in Quebec my whole life and there are a few french Universities here that offer pharmacy. They have practically no requirements besides grades (which I have far above the requirements since they are pre-university) and being able to pass an insanely hard french test.

From what I gathered it is difficult to apply to pharmacy schools in Canada when you are out-of-province since there are less seats reserved. I do not want to stay in Quebec since I absolutely hate this place, but I would be willing to work up my french skills in order to pass the test and successfully learn from the education process.

So my question is this; will I be able to practice pharmacy in any other province in Quebec if I get a degree from a Quebec university? The standards to get into these programs rely much more on your ability to speak french than it does being a competent individual, which makes me worry that other provinces wouldn't regard this degree like they would one from within their province or from another "normal" application process university in Canada.

Appreciate all responses!

I don't know anything about Canada but can you transfer before pharmacy school to another province?

Quebec itself is a province. Different provinces have different licensure requirements. Once you graduate you will have to meet them; sit for a couple of exams and do an internship.
