Rooming with a fellow classmate?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I can't think of somebody that would understand your need for peace and quiet while studying more than another dental student. I'm sure it would depend greatly on whether the personality of the person fit with yours.

I own a condo and was wondering what are your thoughts and/or experiences rooming with a fellow classmate. Good idea or bad idea?

If you don't HAVE to rent it, then don't!
If you MUST, then a classmate would be good.

Im quiet! What school r u going to and whats the price?

i would only allow a roommate by invitation. my brother is a 1st year med and rented to a fellow classmate he never knew and totally regrets it.

hmm, I was under the impression it was common for dental students to room with classmates, maybe not as D1s but at least at some point during dental school.

do most students live by themselves?

i lived with a classmate for a year and half. would still be there if he weren't getting married.

i now live another d student, just different class than my own (yr above me)

I highly recommend living with class mates

they will be on the same schedule as you so you will all be working hard at the same time and you will all be available to hang out at the same time. Having roommates makes the monotony of studying less lonely too.

call up your class mates, grab a drink with some, figure out whos the best personality match
