Anyone planning to attend UACP (appalachia) in the fall, please let me know how you planning to stay there. If you are like me moving from different state, are you as well looking for a roommate? I am looking for someone to stay with. I hope to find a place near campus? thankx

When I was at the interview they told me that they would have a roommate and a housing list available before the year began. I would contact the school to find out more. If I get in I am moving from Arizona with my boyfriend, my huge dog and 6 cats so I am probably going to buy a house. Grundy has a super Walmart coming in so they will probably have an increase in market value in homes in that area once it opens so I think it should be pretty easy to sell. The prices for the homes are really low, especially compared to those in scottsdale. I just think it's better to pay a mortgage than to pay rent that you'll never see. Hopefully we'll be in the same class. Plus the school for P1's is in oakwood , which is half way between richlands and grundy so you might want to think about living in richlands since there is a little more to do and more of a community.

Hey thankx for the reply, you are so lucky, your b/f is moving with you. My b/f can not do that yet b/c he will be graduating from college in the fall and he has better chances of finding his field job in my state. Anyhow, I hope you get in. I am very nervous about the whole thing, because I won't know anyone and it will be my first time away from my family and b/f. I just hope this transition is smooth for me, I am not planning to cry every night. I hope to find a good roommate as well as fun stuff do to. Hey let me ask you something HOw are your planning to pay for everything? if you don't mind telling me? And if you are planning to take our loans, can you tell me from which lender? I will really appreciate your feedbackl.

thankx

Hey, maybe fellow classmates. I am also wondering about housing and loans. The school said that the local private banks are offering loans similar to a federal stafford loan. I do not know the details but I think they will be sending them off shortly to the students.
I think the money that they are asking for apartments (in grundy) is ridiculous. THey are probably doing it because they can though. It's over $500 for each person in a 2 bedroom apartment at the new apartment complex that is built right by the P2 pharmacy school. I don't think there are any apartments in Oakwood. I am looking at either renting a room at a house or buying one. We'll see.
I would like to get this show on the road though and figure out where the money is coming from and where I am going to live. See you guys (girls) in school. Let me know if you get in Kynsi.
