I thought it was a little weird that Roosevelt only has a pharmacy school but no other health program.

I got accepted....it seems like a good school, and I like that the faculty are personabe...and that it is a 3 year program. The only main negatives for me are the cost and the location.

I am currently enrolled in the inaurgual class of Roosevelt University COP. I absolutely love the program. The faculty really work to make sure that all information is absorbed and that you are prepared for the NAPLEX. There are many schools around the country that are beginning to branch into professional programs. Roosevelt University was working very hard for about 10 years to be able to open this program. Although they are mainly a liberal arts college, the college of pharmacy is on a different campus and we are really beginning to make a name for ourselves. We have an amazing clinical staff that have also taught at other universities (including some in the surrounding area). You can also private message me if you have any specific questions about the program 🙂

Although my opinion is my own, so is that students. Even though that student did not get into what they consider "more prestigious" schools, I did. I was accepted to Midwestern and I chose Roosevelt. It was the best decision that I ever made. The reason the teachers do what they do is because the program is so accelerated. At a 4 year institution, you have much more time to study for the exams. Our terms are 10 weeks long with an additional week for finals. This is not the only issue. We combine med chem, pharmacology, pharmacotherapy, and many other topics into each term. We separate them by system (Cardio, Renal, Musculoskeletal, Infectious Disease, etc). This is to help them be better absorbed. With that, it does make the program harder. The teachers telling you what will and wont be on exams is to benefit us. It is to help us to know the most relevant information (the information that would be on the NAPLEX). So before you go and believe the one unhappy person, make sure to get both sides of the story 🙂

Hello
I have an interview coming up at RU, and I am really nervous. Does anyone have any idea about how does the interview process work here? What type of questions do they ask for interview, writing portion, and group activity? Are there any panel question and answers too?
Thanks in advance!
