Hi all,
A little friendly advice would be much appreciated here. I originally decided not to apply to Drexel due to all the rumors circulating about it possibly losing affiliation with its teaching hospital, or some shady deal. Now upon receiving Rosalind Franklin/Chicago Med's secondary, they tell us that they are on probation. I decided to apply anyway, because if its the only school i get into, well i'll worry about probabation then. But by this same mentality, I should probably apply to Drexel now, huh? What do you guys think about their shady circumstances?

I recommend you apply to both schools. Being on probation doesn't really mean too much. They'll probably get off of probation, as did Temple Med. Whatever Rosalind Franklin's problems, they'll fix them.

In regard to Drexel losing it's teaching hospital... I don't necessarily think that this is a good reason not to apply. It's a pretty good school with a reputation that is slowly increasing. They'll make sure that their students do have a teaching hospital to work at....

Hope that helps!

John

Personally, I would not apply to a school on probation. There are plenty of other schools to apply to.

Rosalind Franklin's problems are mainly financial. I'm still applying. Plus, there's a 5-year tuition freeze 🙂

Too bad if five years their tuition will still be sky high as it is now!
I am debating on whether or not to send in the secondary.
