Hi,

I've been doing searches for the past hour up and down all of SDN for this information. Has anyone rotated at various hospitals in Michigan? I am looking to do my elective out there this year and have no experience with any of the hospitals in the area. I am specifically looking to do an ICU rotation as a 3rd year at POH, Beaumont, Mt Clemens, or Botsford. Are these good learning sites and are they open to teaching and allowing you to do procedures? How is the housing they provide (if any)? Any help would be appreciated!!!

As far as i know, everyone wants to do their rotations in Beaumont (Royal Oak or other sites). It's a great hospital for patients, not sure if it's for students though

Mt.Clemens offers student housing. They're fairly nice apartments that are shared by a few students. I haven't done an ICU rotation, but overall, Mt.Clemens is a really great place to learn, interns, residents, and attendings are all (from what I have experienced and heard) very willing to teach.
