An audition/away rotation requires a background check. Where can I get one done? I googled it and there are a million companies out there. How do I know which one is legit and contains all the info the hospital is looking for?

What background check company did you use?

Call the HR department of the hospital and see which one they use.

In Texas you can go to your county courthouse (or county clerk's office, city hall, something like that; can't really remember) and request a criminal background check. They will give you a notarized piece of paper that says you have a clean record. Costs like $25 and takes about 15 minutes. I had to get one for a job 5 or 6 years ago. I think it was the courthouse that I went to, I can't really remember since its been such a long time, but it was a pretty easy process.

first, see if your school handles it. then see if they can suggest someone. Finally if that does not work, contact the program you want to do the rotation with and see who they suggest/use.

The hospital should help you with that or at least lead you in the right direction. After filling out of a ton of paperwork for next year, the health group I'm signing under says what to do and who to talk to.
