Hi,
I'm a foreign medical student with no clue about the distinction between MD and DO schools.

Was trying hard to find rotations in the US that are open to non LCME schools.

I was wondering if doing an EM subi at an osteopathic center, and getting a SLOE from them, would hold less value in my future ERAS application.

Hope someone could clarify.

With the merger between MD and DO residencies upcoming, all osteopathic residencies should be converted or in the process of converting to ACGME programs, which means you should be able to get SLOE from them.

You could also try looking at some NYC based programs, places like Brookdale, Wycoff Heights, and Metropolitan all have a track record of accepting international graduates. They might be receptive to you rotating there as well.
