Rotations in different state than school

So my question is, which DO schools, if any, allow you to do your rotations based out of a different state than the school is located in. I ask because I have heard from a friend that you can go to Midwestern AZCOM for your first two years then switch to CCOM and do your rotations (third and fourth year) in Chicago. Since I am from the Midwest I was looking for any schools that would possibly allow me to move closer for rotations.

Most schools have clinical rotations out of state. Whether or not those rotations are in the mid west depend on the school. Many schools have these clinical rotations posted on their websites, might take a little digging. Personally, I don't care to live in the Midwest so you'll have to do the digging yourself.

Off the top of my head, I know ATSU-SOMA has a community campus in Ohio where you would get to spend years 2-4 there.

KCOM allows you to do rotations at hospitals all over the country. Most of the rotation sites are in the midwest.

Do you get a better shot if you have family at one of the rotation sites?

Most people get their top site (86%). There are a few reasons people are given their top site before the "match", but I forget what they are. Call them for more info, that was a couple of years ago for me.

I'm not sure you can go to CCOM and do your whole third year in Chicago, but AZCOM did have the option of doing rotations in Urbana-Champaign. You can always set up 4th year electives in Chicago though.
