i feel stupid asking this, and this probably is a stupid irritating question. but what i couldn't understand in the answer of the earlier question was...........if "PE" means 'Pleural Effusion', why wasn't the pleural effusion not apparent in the CXR?

sorry for not specifying: PE refers to pulmonary embolism in this case.
