Hello all,
I have been accepted into the UMDNJ Stratford MBS program at their osteopathic medical school. I have also been accepted into RWJMS MBS program as well.🙂
I am still waiting for UMDNJ-NJMS Newark MBS program which should arrive later this month. I think I have a good chance of getting in.
Which program out of the three, would help me the most in terms of getting into an MD program?
I was told that RWJMS MBS program has about 40 students while Newark GSBS has over 100+.
In terms of a committee letter and recommendations from professors, RWJMS MBS would probably be a little more personal due to the class size but I understand that Newark MBS is older and has accumulated reputation.
In terms of linkage, Newark MBS requires a 3.6 in the program to get a guaranteed interview while RWJ MBS requires a 3.75. RWJ MBS program tells you not to apply to RWJ during the medical school application cycle if you want to be considered for the linkage, is it the same thing with Newark MBS as well?
I know that with RWJ MBS if you do qualify for the guaranteed interview at RWJMS, the interview occurs late in the cycle, after May. If May 15th is the last day to declare a one single acceptance, then if you have the interview after May 15th, does that mean you have to choose between taking that acceptance at another medical school or risking it all with attending the guaranteed interview?
Thank you in advance!
