Hi everyone, really need some input here. So grateful to have two acceptances as a reapplicant and leaning towards RWJ but I definitely want some informed insight from members of the SDN community. Any thoughts would help!
RWJMS
Pros:
-in-state tuition
-substantial research opportunities (pretty important to me)
-close to home
-not too far from NYC (a city I would love to be in eventually)
-true p/f pre-clinical; honors, high pass, pass, conditional pass, fail clerkships
-solid match list
Cons:
-meh facilities/classrooms (from what I saw on accepted students day)
-as a public NJ school, I didn't get the feeling that the student community was super diverse, felt a bit like an extension of high school
-I've attended undergrad/grad school in big cities so the transition to suburbia isn't super exciting
NYMC
Pros:
-more access to NYC
-private so a bit more diversity in the student body
-solid match list
-p/f pre-clerkship; honors, high pass, pass, fail clerkships
Cons:
-OOS tuition
-fewer research opportunities
Thank you so much!
