Taking a class next semester that does not have letter grade assigned and is 2 credits. You either get S which stands for satisfactory or no credits for the class if one fails it. If I get an S on transcript would medical schools understand the meaning of the S on the transcript?

Yes. It would be treated similarly to a Pass/Fail class and has no impact on your GPA.

I'd assume you surpassed the rank of A

Do medical schools not look favorably on taking these kinds of classes? What if someone just took one of those classes not in like a major class or something too
