Thanks for all suggestions, I think a candidate must wait at least 90 days before retaking the DAT (which is june 27 for me), but I really want to apply this cycle, can I apply in the mid June and update my new DAT test score later? You don't NEED to retake it, but RC and Bio are pretty important so you'd be well advised to re-take it. Its not a huge deal. Talk to the schools you're interested in to see if they would take you regardless. You pass all "cutoffs" so you won't be outright rejected, but if the rest of your stats would be "average" too then you're in trouble. Seriously though, talk to the schools you're interested in, they can tell you a simple "Its good enough" or "No you should re-take".
If you scored 19 on every subject and received 19, then no problem.PAT 20 81%
QR 18 86.6%
RC 17 35.5%
Bio 17 55.7%
Gen Chem 19 79.9%
Organic 23 97.1%
Total Science 19
AA 19
Just out of test center.
I really don't know what I should do about this report.
Bad day in my life..
any suggestion would be appreciated.
I would suggest retaking it because at one of the schools I interviewed at they said that the RC and Bio scores were the scores they considered most important because those who did well on those sections tended to do better on the boards. Math was considered the least important and I don't know where the other sections fell in level of importance to them. Each school is different though so its up to you.
loma lindaSorry to be off topic, but what school told you the Bio and RC are most important to them? I am just curious as I am making my list of schools to apply to.
I am post bac student, my undergraduate GPA is around 3.7, my pre-dental GPA is 4.0 so far. I think one of my weakness is I am an international student. I do not have too much shadowing and volunteer experience, but I will do some shadow works in the summer vacation. You should post your GPA, it'd be easier to give you a better opinion then. Keep in mind that the average matriculant is still at the 19 range (according to the ADEA 2012 AA- 19.5 PAT 19.86), don't catch SDNitis and think that the only way you can gain admission is by scoring 21+.
Do you feel that the rest of your application can offset a minor difference in your DAT? If not, hit the books again and feel confident in your abilities. This time you'll know what to expect what your weaknesses are and I'm sure you'll blow it out of the water.

Update: I really appreciated your guys's suggestion. I decide to retake after 90 days.
I am taking General Chem II and Bio II as well as organic chem II this semester (Yes, I got special permission from my organic professor to take general chem and organic chem simutaneously) , it is a huge load for me to take 15 credit hour while preparing for DAT.
My undergraduate GPA is 3.7 , my post bac pre dental GPA is 4.0 so far, I believe I can get 4.0 for this semester's class as well.
Thanks, any suggestion will be appreciated.Your scores really aren't that bad, but I think you will definitely do much better on the retake. The courses your taking will help.
How are you managing your time for the retake preparation? I would think you should focus on getting that BIO score up. Just took the DAT recently so let me know if you have any questions about what I did to prepare.
