Google pharmacist interviews. Make as many examples as you can on the behavior questions and rehearse them before the interview. Here is some questions you have to know the answers:
  1. Tell me a little about yourself.
  2. Why are you interested in working for this company?
  3. What are your strengths?
  4. What are your weaknesses?
  5. Tell me about an accomplishment you are most proud of.
  6. What would you look to accomplish in this job?
  7. Tell me how you have handled a difficult situation.
  8. Why should we hire you?
  9. Give a time when you went above and beyond for a patient or a coworker.
  10. How do you handle pressure?
  11. What are some of your leadership experiences?
  12. Tell me about a time where you disagreed with a coworker.
  13. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Don't ramble and prepare the answer, phone interviews are easy, they can't see you and you can literally read back a script you make. Good luck.

So I interviewed with Safeway a year ago. Albertsons bought Safeway a few years back and is closing some stores and changing the pharmacy operations. If you have ever worked at wags or cvs its going to be the same workload expectations. They asked how I would work immunizations into the workflow, 12 hour days etc. By the way its a recruiter not dm that will interview you.

Everyone that applies gets a phone interview.
Everyone.
It's basically to ensure you are, in fact, alive and that you speak English.

Also, Safeway uses EPS, which is a ****ty, l garbage system.

Still much better than the DOS base PDX system that was phased out.

To answer OP question. I recommend making a list of bullets points to ensure u stay on topic and not ramble.
For phone interview, use landline if able. If not make sure your not in a crowded place , make sure theres reliable reception. Have ur resume in front of you, also dress as if your in a real interview helps.
How do I know? Because I did it already. Safeway is a good company. No drive thrus. Goodluck!

They will ask you some general questions first of all. Be genuine while answering the questions. If you have got experience then you will be asked about your job description, job responsibilities, and your achievement or appreciation while working and some future goals.

I also have a phone interview with Safeway (technically a Vons) this upcoming week. Kinda nervous.

That's a good thing means you want to work there and what do employers want? Willing and able employees. It will show in your interview to your benefit.

Yep, I know it is too late to reply but I have never heard or seen Safeway doing phone interviews. Safeway has a long interview process which is difficult to come out and to be selected. Off-course everyone might have gone through Safeway interview which is having several stages. No doubt If you get selected you will be paid high but the same you need to know basic about direct2hr login Safeway portal for Safeway employees and also it benefits to enjoy.
