In most fields, people get small yearly raises (1-2%) to adjust for yearly inflation. Does this happen in medicine? or do people routinely make the same salary starting out as 20 years down the line?

in medicine your salary and how it fluctuates is determined by your specialty and your practice setting, not cost of living
