Is the resident salary listed on Freida and all our interview fliers before taxes or after taxes?

Most salary polls are before taxes. Depending on your financial and dependent situation, your take home will vary greatly. I had a resident who had 4 kids. He never paid any taxes!

With a salary of $39,000, how much would my take-home salary be per month (in chicago)? Btw, I am single, having no dependents.

This is one of the best paycheck calculators on the web:

    http://www.paycheckcity.com/

I prefer making my own with Excel and the withholding tables the IRS provides..
