I am recent grad looking to transition out of my current role. I need to work one more year in public health.
How much of a salary reduction would you seriously consider when looking for a new job?
Considering all fringe benefits the same or slightly worse from you currently have and In exchange for potentially better working environment along with other factors.

Depends on your financial situation. With no loans, I'd happily reduce my income to work only four days a week or for a more chill office but if I was still at 200k+ in debt I'd try to keep my income as high as possible to pay off my loans as soon as I can. Money only brings so much happiness.

Also, if you can stomach it, go rural for a year or two. So many rural offices would kill to have an associate. My old boss had been looking for an associate for 5 years, no joke. Because of this, the work environment, mentorship, and pay is significantly better. It's what I did and I've had a much better experience than my friends who stayed in saturated areas. I'm moving back to the city now because rural is tough socially, but if you can go for a year it's a great experience.
