Thats bout it if you work for someone else. My parents are dentists and have 3 practices. They pay around 80k out of college.

You can make 200k with your own practice, but youll pay 100 back out.

so yea, it dont pay what everyone thinks!

You mean 80K - 90K ? for normal programmers.

This is my colleague and friend with no Business Knowledge but have 10 years experience

140K for Business Knowledge plus ERP experience my cousin with 10 years experience.

Hi shaaka, these programmers r earning around 140,000 after 10 years of experience.believe me after 10 years u will make more than that. that is reported income for tax purposes. When you charge a patient 100$ for a single surface filling u take around 30 minutes in and out of chair. ur overheads ae approx 50% at the most. u make $50 out of it. then u r booked for crown and u charge approx 900-1000 dollars for 1 hour and 15 min and u take the lab fee out u still make 300-350 dollars so approx in 1 hour and 45 min u made 350-400 dollars.
these figures r realistic. u do single rooted endo in 45 min and molars in 1 hour 15 min.. so u see how much u make in an hour and also u dont have long hours of computer people. my husband being a computer guy i know how many hours he puts in there. the dentists r the second highest people to bill hourly next to lawyers who bill approx 250-300$ an hour . as dentists we do 150-200 $ an hour.
These r realistic figures because i have seen them happen.
I know the route is long and tough but dont worry it is around the corner
