I had already scheduled one for Creighton on Sept 19 and then today I got one for Michigan that was preset for that day. I called Michigan and they had an alternate date, Oct 3rd set up already.
ya go ahead and give them a call, but ASAP. they understand that you are a student and sometimes dates need to be changed. just don't do it too close to your interview date and it should be fine. you can expect to have your interview later than the original date assigned however. this may or may not have any influence on your chances of being accepted depending on where it is in the cycle.
