The last thread I can find on this program is 4 years old and I know they have changed a decent amount of faculty. It's a program I'm very interested in, and have gotten good feedback from, but wanted to know what you all have seen/heard/experienced. I maybe, possibly, can get a CA-1 position there after this prelim surgery year (see past threads of mine for the whole story, though my name should say it all).

How are residents treated? Training? Passing boards? Turnover? New program director (I was told it's not who's listed on line, I'm confused)? City? I'm fluent in Spanish, so that's not a problem. Anyway, appreciate any info! Good luck to everyone else with interviews and the such.

The new chairman was previously at UAB. I met him, very cool guy. Collects guitars, I think. And you gotta do pre-ops for the CRNAs, see another recent thread for that debate. And the scrubs are that nasty green, everyone looks like Gumby. Was one of my top pics, despite it being in San Antonio. That city is bad for singles, and even so it's kind of an old, depressing place.
