Anyone have any insight into the different groups/options of anesthesiologist jobs in San Francisco and San Jose? Any gems, any groups to avoid?

Sorry can’t help u

My friend doesn’t make much inside San Francisco city. But he has no kids and likes to ride motorcycles. So if you are happy with 250k I can help you. He doesn’t work too much.

Many different groups in bay area. A couple listed above. But you also have obviously many Kaiser sites, G2 anesthesia (south bay), Vituity sites (Washington Hospital group and John Muir group), Santa Rosa group, Marin anesthesia group, Premier anesthesia (covers San Ramon Hospital, ValleyCare), group that covers St Francis Hospital in SF, Alameda Anesthesia group, Santa Cruz anesthesia group, various county sites like Santa Clara Valley Med Center and Highland, various small groups covering surgery centers, etc

Know someone at east bay, they are reasonably happy there. Heard good things about marin but the pay is kinda low for the cost of living in that area. Santa cruz had nice people but there was an issue a few years ago. I believe the hospital tried to employ the group directly, a lot of people were not interested in that so a bunch of people left and the remainder have been limping along. They were still paper charting everything then. I talked to someone at g2 and the person was very aggressive. They were grilling me incessantly about things like if I thought w2 or 1099 was better and kept going on about how physician owned practice was so great (this was right after they sold out and then reformed the private group).
