Does Anyone know dentists in san antonio that are willing to help students with Shadowing...please let me know here or in pm if you don't want to put dentist names here... Thank you :xf:

Right about this time, wouldn't it be nice to have a dentist that you visit twice a year?

I have been here only for few years...about 4 to 5 and I don't have a family dentist either....I don't mind going to dentist one by one asking them if I can do shadowing work for them but I am taking 18 hours classes all bio upper level so not getting enough time. I still did go to 3 dentists but they said no. I am still trying more and it's just time consuming with taking full 18 hours classes. I don't mind doing it if I had a little time so just asking if somebody knows any dentists in San Antonio who are willing to help ...😳

Call instead of going in person. Bust out the phone book.

Maybe that's the problem.

If you cannot be bothered to go in person don't be surprised if the answer is no.

This is the worst advice you could give. Dentists are professionals, so you, too, should act as a professional when seeking out a dentist who will allow you too shadow them. If a person cannot get off their butt and make time to visit dentists in person, then they deserve getting rejected. Looking to shadow a dentist is no difference from job hunting. You don't call a person up and ask if you can have a job. The same is for this. You get dressed up, visit the office, explain your situation and when all is said and done see if they will let you shadow them. Personally, I wouldn't even give a pre-dent the time of day if they called me instead of coming and ask me in person. Calling is SO impersonal!!!
