I am currently applying to radiation oncology programs- including a few advanced in San Francisco. Anyone have any suggestions on prelim medicine programs or transitional? I did not see any transitional actually in the city and was thinking about the Kaiser Permanente internal med prelim. Also, if anyone knows anything about the prelim med year at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, I would appreciate it.

And if anyone else is confused why Univ. of San Francisco's rad onc program says "residency (physician only)" when you apply on ERAS, I found out this is being changed to "advanced".

Cal Pac (CPMC) has a good prelim program in the city -- I know several people who completed it and they all rate it highly. Also the closest TY is Santa Clara in San Jose. I've also heard good opinions about this program. Good luck!

St. Mary's Med Ctr also has a preliminary medicine program.
